The boys AA two mile was one of the funniest, most tactical races I have ever seen. The field tried to force Hunter May to lead. He wouldn't and slowed the 2nd lap down to 86. Eventually a few guys who had time goals went the front but faded. The field was just over 10 minute pace with 800 to go when May took the lead. Herrick and Reed had a few challenges, but May easily pulled away with a 2:11ish 800 for the win. The previous week May had run around 1:56 for the half and at state the next day he won the mile in 4:15 at 3000ft. I really hope someone has a video of this race as it would be really fun to watch again.
